Tremezzo’s Most Beautiful Villages in Italy Festival
During the weekend of 17 and 18 September, the village of Tremezzo on the shore of Lake Como will host the first edition of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy Festival.
Fourteen villages in the Lombardy region of Italy can count themselves as members of this exclusive club, and each one will have its own stand at the Tremezzo Festival.
These timeless villages have successfully managed to resist being dragged into modern times and have retained their very own unique characters. Visitors to the Lombard villages of Tremezzo, Gromo, Biel, Camerata Cornello, Lovere, Tremosine, Monteisola, Pandino, Soncino, Monzambano, Pizzale, San Benedetto Po, Fortunago and Zavattarello will enjoy breathtaking views, visits to castles and will be able to see traditional arts and crafts.
During the Beautiful Village Festival visitors will encounter a selection of engaging events involving music, sport and art. Local cuisine can be sampled and stands showing off local crafts can be browsed too.
On the evening of Saturday 17 September at 9.00pm there will be a free concert with Italian folk singer Simone Cristicchi and the Orobica Alpine Chorus.
