Lake Como, situated in the Lombardy region, is a top travel destination in Italy all year round.
Lake Como is surrounded by tall, wooded mountains and is blessed with a variety of beautiful landscapes. The shores are dotted with pastures, woods, rough and imposing rocks, picturesque villages overlooking the water and beautiful villas with parks and gardens.
One of the most picturesque places to visit is the city of Como with its winding streets, monuments and fascinating sights that can be seen comfortably on foot.

In the centre lake area you can visit Lenno and Tremezzo, part of the Tremezzina, one of the most beautiful part of lake como, with breathtaking vien and beautiful lakeside villas.
Last but not least is Colico, the first village of the Northern shore and very close to the Swiss boarder. The village has well preserved its military forts (Fort Fuentes and Forte Montecchio) that are certainly worth a visit.
Colico has a beautiful lakefront promenade and lake front square with its bubbling fountain that is lit up in the evening and many cafes, restaurants and gelaterias.
