The town of San Zeno di Montagna, on Lake Garda, awaits you with two sweet chestnut-flavour appointments for your diary.

Actually, San Zeno is to host not one, but two chestnut festivals: the 8th San Zeno DOP Marrone Chestnut Festival and 39th Chestnut Festival of San Zeno di Montagna.

The San Zeno Chestnut Festival on Lake Garda

After being held on the 22th, 23th, 29th and 30th October, the Chestnut festivals return on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November with a programme filling the whole weekend.

The festivals will take place in a covered, and heated, tent, within which visitors will find numerous stands with chestnut based foods and other local foods and wines. For the entire festival weekend, local restaurants will offer menus with a selection of chestnut based dishes.  To keep children happy, games, rides and the “Castagneto magic” fairground ride will be on offer.

For more information, in Italian, on the chestnut festivals, visit the town of San Zeno di Montagna’s attractive website, where you can also download a programme of the weekend’s events.
