“The first hundred years of Whirlpool, dream and dare” Exhibition in Varese, Italy
At Villa Recalcati in Varese on October 11, The first hundred years of Whirlpool, dream and dare exhibition opened it doors. The exhibition celebrates the centenary of the Italian company Whirlpool, one of the most well known domestic appliance manufacturers in the world.
Open to the public until October 30, the Whirlpool exhibition traces the history of the company and its links to the Varese area of Northern Italy. Visitors will also find information on Varese and on the people whose efforts made the history books.
The exhibition traces the founding, growth and development of Ignis and then the transformation which took place after the company was bought by Philips and then by Whirlpool.
Visitors can learn about the history of the business and the lives of those involved in it through documents, period products, photographs and films. Appliances developed by the company which have revolutionized the lives of Italians are on shown. Such appliances that are now an integral part of the daily lives of many Italians.
