Lake Maggiore’s International Organ Festival
The Arona International Organ Festival is now into its sixth year.
Organised by the Sonata Organi Cultural Association, the 2011 organ festival season forms part of the Province of Novara’s Organ Music programme. The season, which began last May, includes eleven concerts.
Under the artistic direction of Italian organist Christian Tarabbia, festival concerts include a repertoire ranging from Baroque masterpieces to the organ music of noted composers like François Couperin and Johann Sebastian Bach. The concerts are held around the province of Novara and in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area.
On Saturday, October 22, the Organ Festival’s closing concert will take place.
All the organ festival concerts begin at 21.00 and admission to them is free.
