Only an hours’ drive from Milan, is Valsassina, a true paradise for ski lovers. The Piani di Bobbio and Valtorta offer 36km of ski pistes and 8 ski lifts while the Piani delle Betulle have 12km of slopes and 4 lifts. Smaller ski areas include Alpe di Giumello and Alpe Cainallo. And the Val d’Intelvi on the west side of Lake Como.

Piani di Bobbio & Valtorta : located in the municipality of Barzio, is the biggest ski area that connects two valleys,the Valsassina to the Val Brembana in only 8 minutes, providing 8 lifts, 16 ski pistes for a total of 36km of slopes. Pian delle Betulle: located in Margno, a quiet peaceful resort reachable with a cable car in only 5 minutes, offering 4 lifts and 6 slopes for different levels of difficulty. At only an hour from Milan.

Alpe di Giumello: located at the foot of monte Muggio in Casargo, it represents a natural balcony overlooking Lake Como and Lake Lugano offering one ski-lift, a conveyor belt and 3 slopes for a total of 4km.

Intelvi Valley: it’s one of the most populated valleys of the territory that offers a wide range of outdoor activities all year round. The ski slopes are located at the top of Monte Sighignola and a snow cannons guarantee a skiing season every year for 2 km of easy ski slopes.
