Keen Cyclists Pedal Towards Tremosine on Lake Garda
Lake Garda is to host a two day event for lovers of mountain biking!
The mountain biking fest starts on the evening of Saturday, September 17 with the Garda Bike&Run Night: a night-time hill climb of the picturesque Florra Road that has become an unmissable annual appointment for cyclists and runners alike. Those who would like to take part can do so using road or mountain bikes or they can simply use foot-power!
The day after, on Sunday, September 18, the fun will continue with something new for 2011: Tremosine Bike No Limits, a new cycling route starting from the village of Tremosine and then heading up to the Tremalzo and Nota passes before returning to Tremosine. The 48 km route rises some 1500 meters in altitude and offers allows fabulous views of the surrounding mountains as well as stunning panoramas of Lake Garda. Although the route may sound a little on the hard side, it’s not too testing and can be enjoyed by both experienced and amateur cyclists.
