The Cycle Lane runs through the territory of Lombardy, it’s 300 km long and has 9 itineraries. Recently the Provinces of Lecco, Como and Varese have traced a sperimental route, with road maps that show the length and the difficulty of the routes. The itineraries suit all levels and tastes and take around three hours each, but it depends a lot on how many times you stop (There are many things to see along the routes: churches, villas ,,,).

The official website of the Cycle Lane gives useful information and advice about which itinerary to choose from, it recommends choosing a route that isn’t too difficult for you, to take some fresh fruit for the journey and much more. And if you choose an itinerary of more than one day there are numerous hotels, bed and breakfast, campsites and other places along the routes where you can stay for the night.
And when you stop for a rest from cycling you can visit the old town centres that you find on the way.

Personally I would suggest the itinerary number 5, that takes you from Como to lake Pusiano going through the small villages of Lipomo, Capiago Intimiano, Montorfano, Orsenigo, Alzate Brianza, Anzano del Parco, Alserio, Monguzzo, Albavilla, Erba and Merone
It is not a long route but gives you satisfactions. The Cycle Lane is certainly a good opportunity for cyclers and lake lovers.
